Here are some facts about the TV series, I Dream of Jeannie:

I dream of Jeannie is a TV sitcom from the 1960s.  Barbara Eden played the genie in the bottle which was found on a beach by an astronaut played by Larry Hagman.  I Dream of Jeannie aired from 1965 to 1970 and had 139 episodes.

The first season was filmed in black and white.  The director, Sidney Sheldon was looking for a brunette to play Jeannie, but eventually settled for a blond.  Barbara Eden wore her genie costume in most episodes.  Watch this genie clip.
